How to tell if its a fake morgan

So ill be purchasing 5 morgans tomorrow for 20 bucks each. Aside from weighing the coins, 26.73g right? And doing the magnet test, is there another way to verify if these morgans are real? Any information is greatly appreciated.

On the obverse, the numbers are not identical. The letters are not exactly the same. In general, very soft details and very slippery surfaces.

On the reverse, the stars on the side at the "ONE DOLLAR" text are just too big compared to the authentic morgan dollar. Also the letters not the same, just see compare some letters and notice some size differences.

Hi there-

You could do the "bell test," or keep a real silver dollar with you and compare; practice, practice. Weight and sound are a pretty dead giveaway, though not all silver dollars are going to weigh 26.73 on the dot. You'll get a feel for how real silver dollars should look and act in time.

Side by side the fakes look like polished crome more than silver(A magnet, most fakes contain steel.

Coppernickle defeats magnet but I havent seen any of this type. I havent seen a fake in person either though.

Rare dates stick out for scrutiny, but I recently saw a video where the fake was a common date.

i ended up purchasing the 5 morgans at $20 a piece and the following
19 barber dimes
6 roosevelt dimes
2 barber halves
5 barber quarters
1 wash quarter
1 64 kennedy
1 40% kennedy
1 walker
all for $224, not bad, i think.
