Dead cat bounce?

Dead cat bounce?

Even if it is a dead cat bounce I prefer that to down every single day :)

I think the bottom is close. I'm pretty heavily back in so I hope I'm correct :)

the more i buy the lower it continues to go. i hope it goes to zero.

Without googling it, I have a quiz question.

Does anyone here know what metal holds the title of "losing practically all of its value"?

This would be a metal that was more valuable than gold at one time, but now is practically worthless.

I wish silver would do the same thing, at least in the short term. ;)

If/when government bankruptcy leads to the end of emissions standards, I would expect one of the precious metals used in catalytic converters to be next to drop significantly.

I would guess rhodium would see the largest drop, since its application is most specifically for this one purpose (81%), compared to platinum (46%) and palladium (57%).

But I have been wrong before... always...

Aluminum is correct. At one time the crown jewels were in a crown made of aluminum.

Prior to 1850, aluminum was worth more than gold. Now instead of selling by the gram, it is sold by the pound. One reason I love silver so much is of its antibacterial properties, healing properties, preservation properties.........putting everything else aside, silver turns me on for how it can be used other than just as a preservation of wealth. It would be awesome if the price went really, really low, I would buy it all! :D

That's great and all but if and when silver goes down close to zero you will have to buy through me as I plan on buying it all first :lol:

Gold under $1200, major support break or support?

As for antibacterial properties: Carbon filters for water and air are arugably more effective than silver for industrial purposes, and hundreds of thousands of times cheaper. Copper and nickel alloys can also be antibacterial. I believe that the carbon content in monel makes it antibacterial. Pure nickel is not anti-bacterial, but most copper alloys are.

Copper alloys are not often used when in direct human contact because of odor.

Yes but silver makes good bombs, missiles and avionics, which also have anti-bacterial properties.
