1803 Silver Dollar +AU55

I just got home from the Philippines, my 4th trip there in recent years. There was something new this time.

The sidewalk vendors of sunglasses, pearls, trinkets, Viagra, Cialis, etc. now carry silver dollars!

On guy showed me a handful, one was an 1804 dollar in better than MS55 AU55 condition. The rest of them were a selection of various types, up to a 1921 Peace Dollar, all in great condition. All of them looked like silver & rang like silver when dropped.

I told all the vendors who tried to sell them to me that China is now making very good counterfeits, and I knew that was what they were trying to sell. All of them quickly went away, which is unusual, they will always try to keep selling you their wares until you say No, 3-5 times.

MS55?

Well, I guess that's a pretty good indicator that a slab is fake. lol.

It should be AU-55.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.
