Very disturbing read. Makes me think very negative against NWT with this link as well other posts I have seen recently. I've always wondered about letting the selling company hold your metals. Too risky for me.

NWT has long had delivery issues and suspicion that they were playing the market like tulving did. This might be what puts the nails in their coffin. If so too bad because they have/had some nice products.

OB, the plot thickens.....the other website they refer to is probably Jimmy Rawles "survivalblog" where they were a long time advertiser.....so Jimmy posted that email...I think, and wrote a long post about severing ties with that seller....then just I know I found this at survival blog:

"I’ve removed my recent post on severing ties with Northwest Territorial Mint, pending further investigation. A few details need to be unearthed before I either re-post that, or post a retraction. (It now appears that I may have been lied to by the disgruntled customer, whom I quoted.) – JWR"

see, the LAST person I would wanna piss off if I was PM dealer......is Jim Rawles, as survivalblog is probably the largest "hits" website for the stacker/prepper crowd....I rarely go there anymore, because all these guys do, 24/7 is turn prepping into 'religion'.

am I prepped? yep....but that's NOT my life, just as stacking or numi's isn't my life...know what I mean?

You good OB?....miss ya, neil

ps....i've taken my social medium exposure and posting ANYWHERE down 99%.......because its the Way of the Coyote

I tried upload attachment and got the message "The extension pptx is not allowed". It's a 16 page power point presentation, file. Apologies, clueless on how to post the files to this place.

Maybe Nate could grab the file from Heller and post it in the counterfeits thread (Nate's a genius, he can figure it out... if he ever has time)... it might prove valuable

Had a chance to read thru the 16 page presentation. Most eye opening to me was p14, the #1 way to lose your PMs . . . asset seisure via a PM IRA. But, you are already on top of the senario Ray.

Are there any warning signs about other major bullion dealers? Where would be the best place to look for warning signs or posts from unhappy customers?

There are lots of things that one can check- the local Better Business Bureau, Yelp, etc.

Check the dealer's website as well- if they have prices that are obviously out of date, that could be a bad sign. Also, a site which has something like "Buy the brand new Florida statehood quarters!" on it would make me suspicious since they were issued in 2004.

You can also ask on this site if anyone has had experience dealing with them.

I can't for the life of me understand why someone would store PM'D with a dealer or with a custodian. If you need to do a PM IRA you can have paperwork drawn up where you are the custodian .
