Maybe we will get lucky and he will be fired so he cant give anymore advice, am i the only one buying bonds :lol: i thought the rumors of state bankruptcy would bump up the ROI

Why would bond prices go down if interest rates go up? Please explain it.
I would think better return on your money would create more buyers.

If you hold bonds your interest rate is generally fixed. However if the market interest rate on similar, newly issued bonds increases; the value of your bonds decreases. So when you go to sell them you will get less than face value.
