Do you think the coin will be something that will hold its value?
I know the mintage and such are terrible but I like the coin for some reason.LOL

Buy it because you like it, not because you think it will appreciate/hold value.

Bullion?... that's a different story.

how long will people remember Mark Twain ?
I own lots of things that no longer have any meaning
they are just worthless junk, maybe the NVAR is worth something out of the lasers...

I can't imagine buying this as an investment and with the huge mintage it will likely not be rare for perhaps at least a few decades- and that would only likely happen if the price of silver spiked to $100 or more so that people could sell for a decent profit.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

Please note that ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- sometimes substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) as well.

I like the coin also but, don't like it's price. I have one of his original books in not great condition. Maybe worth $100 max. Don't see this coin getting the same value or demand. I'm with Doc Rode, won't buy initially. Easier to pick it up later for less.
