For those of you storing PMs in a safe or fire safe, in the event of major fire, there is a of course a chance the PMs could melt (in a major structural fire that isn't put out promptly). In that event the blob will be able to be refined and you'll have some recovery, even if only 80% or whatever the case. i was just thinking though, would it therefore make sense to store all the gold in one spot and all the silver in another - possibly even segregating 90 and 999, so that your worst case scenario blobs are more easily refined. Thoughts?

Keep them in cast iron breadpans if a fire happens you'll have some sweet bars!

Steel ammo cans might work but it sure will be hard prying it out of there.
