I believe it will be a flop and won't sell out....just like the quarter ounce liberty!

Raw and graded MS69 gold quarters are selling on fleebay for 10% UNDER original release price. The mint is yet to sell out, even after removing the household limit - complete FLOP
Here is some basic math...........................With the quarter's 100,000 mintage limit (25,000 oz of gold total), the 70,000 coin limit for halves (35,000 oz of gold) will require 40% more money out of collectors' pockets to sell out. Yes, it will absolutely be a complete flop. When will the US Mint learn from their mistakes?

I picked one up on ebay for $465 with 10% ebucks plus the cc cash back. There is another there at that price, but no ebucks offer currently. I might buy another at that net price, but that's about as much as I will pay for one.

That definitely makes it a little better! I bought mine at release because I was worried it'd sell out... now the question is whether to do the same with the half or wait for an eBay deal

No post on this thread in weeks and it gets released today. No buy offers that I have seen. This looks to be an even bigger flop than the other two.

I'm not. I haven't.
If things have gone favorably(for me) I will buy one when they sell for $600-$700.

I don’t know why, but I find myself without much desire for this one. Maybe it’s because with all of the varieties of ASE’s they’ve done, the design has become less novel for me?
*shrug*
For the Mercury Dime, I was frothing to get my hands on it. For the SLQ, I was giddy as can be. For this… meh.

They will sell for less than issue price from dealers. Just wait a month or so.

I'll hope so. Though I'll probably forget by then.

I passed. I'll pick it up later, probably cheaper. You have to get the whole 1916-2016 set!

Price reduced to $840 and free shipping through the 11th, so $30 cheaper that it was.
