3 2008 D boxes of dimes yesterday

Postby Pennysaved » Fri Mar 18, 2011 8:37 am

Whenever I turn in halves at a drop off bank, I try to ask for a box of dimes to quickly edge sort for silver

Yesterday, I bought one box from a chase; one box from one Wells Fargo, and another from another Wells

All 3 boxes were 2008 D BU dimes with a few exceptions of a couple of dirty 2008 D rolls

Unfortunately, no dimes were silver; just thought it was strange how I would hit 2008 D dime BU rolls considering we are in 2011 and these were in bank plastic rolls.

I use to know someone who had an ebay consignment store and he would never consign this kind of stuff for me; he said the market was not strong enough and it was always hit and miss.

I did go to another wells yesterday and got another 2008 D box so weird

Check them for errors then send 'em on down the line. I'd find a dump bank for these 25 or more miles away as you may pollute your own dime supply for weeks or months to come by churning them locally. No way to make a 2008 D box into a 1964 D box. Exciting thought, though.
