I found a silver dime in the till The odd part is it happened last week also. I don’t know if it’s because of the coin shortage and people are rolling up whatever. It sure makes you feel good when you’re counting down the till and you hear that ring come out silver has such a great sound. I don’t know why but something that is not a huge windfall can make you feel so good.

If I ran a register, I'd put 11 cents (all zinc) back in the till to replace that dime...that's how happy I'd be.

I have found 2 silver dimes in the till and 1 on floor in front of the coinstar till. Last one I found was in April. Congrats on your find.

Totally agree with something worth perhaps only a couple bucks, but it is exciting to find. I remember getting excited when I found silver 40-50 years ago. Perhaps it became a conditioned response of some type. I still get a kick out of it.

I know it seems odd, but that's how I feel about finding change that others leave behind.

Finding coins in the return slot of any machine is a sign of a departed love one reaching out to you.

We were recently in a thrift shop, and watched a woman pay with cash, and when the cashier went to give her back the change, she said "keep it, I don't want it". It was about .78!! Had my wife not been with me, I was going to say "CAN I HAVE IT??!!"

Our economy is completely jacked, and yet people still leave almost a buck on the table. Clearly a First World problem!!!
