I just bought an Australian gold 1/10 oz 99.99% pure gold for $271.16. Much lower price than the US AGE that is 91.67% gold.

Well, it was really 2050 at best, and the dollar index at the time was 100 and change. Dollar goes up (currently 103.5 ish) and gold goes down. That's a good deal actually, if you can find it without premiums it means we in US can buy gold cheaper than most people in the world. Do it while you can, if you can.

Omg the premiums are ridiculous. I mean tenths used to be maybe 30 over when gold was 1200. That's really 25 over when you subtract the seniorage. So normal for tenth AGEs has long been something like 20% premium over the Mint cost. More than that is robbery, I agree.
