question on selling 40% and 35% silver

With silver price going higher I'm wondering if anyone is having any luck at selling both 40 and 35% silver. I see it listed here but it looks like there is no takers. I am thinking about cleaning out some of this type of silver. Any thoughts. Thanks

I still value 40%, I just don't need any more. Silver is stalled again at the moment. When silver starts moving again 40% will attract more attention. Worst case is you can sell to a scrapper for 85% of melt.

35% is it's own thing. Especially war nickels, which are among the ugliest coins that exist due to the corrosion. Market for them has always been small. Worst case you can also scrap them.

The discount offer on war nickels is primarily due to the alloy. The manganese complicates recovery and refining, adding costs.

40% Kennedy is not the same issue, but the relatively low silver content does add costs when it gets to the refiner, just not as dramatically, as the alloys involved are fairly straightforward.

Time for more coffee.

Wait for the price to escalate and the FOMO comes back (might take a while, but it always does), then sell it.

I've heard many refiners rejecting 35% nickels. More labor/process involved to extract the silver.

I don't need to sell just looking at 12 to 18 months down the road. I'm kind of looking for others person thought on this matter. Thanks for any thoughts.

You might also consider doing a trade to get what you want. No, I’m not trading anything right now.
