As gold & silver approach the 1 oz gold to 100 oz silver exchange rate, what are your thoughts?

Will it continue towards 1:120, or is this a psychological cusp? Will the silver bull run finally be triggered?

Today, the ratio is 98.7.

Grok:

Based on historical data from the last 25 years:
Highest Gold-to-Silver Ratio: The peak occurred in March/April 2020, during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the ratio reached approximately 125:1. This extreme high was driven by a sharp increase in gold prices as a safe-haven asset, while silver prices lagged due to industrial demand concerns amid economic uncertainty. Some sources note it hit as high as 125.1:1, marking the highest level in modern records, though exact daily peaks may vary slightly depending on the data source.

Lowest Gold-to-Silver Ratio: The lowest point in this period was in April 2011, when the ratio dropped to around 31:1 or 32:1 (sometimes cited as 35:1 in broader monthly averages). This low was fueled by a significant silver price surge, reaching nearly $50 per ounce, while gold prices were also high but didn’t rise as proportionally, tightening the ratio.

the lowest was 1980 at around 15:1 which corresponds to the natural availabilty/scarcity of the two metals per nature and the historic exchange ratio in the Coinage Act of 1792

Just now, GSR is at 100.16.

I asked Grok for the stats from only the last 25 years.

I think we're in a moment like the immediate COVID scare, so it's temporary, but real, and yes I believe silver can continue to go lower so that we may see that high ratio of 120 ish again (this is the price in theory, though good luck finding any 1 oz physical without a 4-8 buck premium). Yep, just checked APMEX and generic 1 oz rounds are about 4.5 over spot, so about the price of spot 2 days ago. Maples are 6 over, ASEs 7 over.
