My bank gave me free money today

Postby Heartkill » Thu Apr 07, 2011 6:04 pm

Just when I think I've seen it all, my main pick bank manages to surprise me again! I was in today picking up my usual load of CWR dimes, when the vault manage came out and said she had something interesting for me. She came out with 8 rolls of dimes which were literally filled end to end. She told me she would sell them to me for $5 each since that's what they took them in as. Being the opportunist, I jumped on the deal.

Results:

Roll 1 - long $1.80
Roll 2 - long $1.60
Roll 3 - long $1.70
Roll 4 - long $1.70
Roll 5 - long $1.50
Roll 6 - long $1.50
Roll 7 - long $1.70
Roll 8 - long $1.80

Total - long $13.30

They'll be getting a box, or two, of fresh Krispy Kreme's tomorrow morning

Two boxes will probably set you back more than you made. ;) Don't be toooooo generous.

At our annual Christmas party, I won a door prize for one of those big coupon books with freebies, buy one-get one deals, etc. There are 2 pages of Krispy Kreme coupons for buy one dozen, get one free. They've been keeping the tellers happy for 4 months now ;)

Last week I picked up 50 CWR of pennies at my bank. Many had 55+ per roll. Apparently some people can't be bothered to count the proper amount but simply fill the rolls full.

Congratulations. I usually get pennies in my dime rolls. I usually don't like to get CWR dimes for that reason. I might need to rethink based on your post.
