absolutely. do you guys' coin stores have live updated prices on their websites? mine does.. some sort of excel document with formulas built in. right now they're paying 159.67 and selling for 176.24

as soon as I receive them i plan on ordering more, assuming it's still under bid price. can't go wrong with guaranteed profit if you liquidate right away.

Just ordered mine. They said delivery in 7-10 days. Had a VERY high pressure salesman. They're REALLY pushing graded coins. Was on the phone for thirty minutes +. I almost hung up on the guy. Got my Mom to buy some and she said she was off the phone in just a couple minutes. She said they tried to sell her other stuff but she just said firmly no thanks.

just ordered 10 of these. They tried selling me a cetified pr70 gold eagle. Told them I wasnt interested and they still tried to sell me it. Told them again i dont want it. Took about 10 min for the call.

Just ordered my ten. Yeah they do try to high-pressure you, but my guy gave up in only a few minutes. I told him I might be interested later, but today just wanted the smaller fractionals. Told him all the doctors I work with might go for the ones he's pushing and asked him to send a pamphlet. Not sure if I hooked him, but just in case so as not to alienate a potential source of future customers, he was polite and the call ended in about two minutes. Week to ten days, he said. $1528. His worst was "well, it's your money sir, if that's how you want to spend it" in a tone that implied I was a freakin idiot. They want you to buy MS70 graded $10 gold American eagle for $1299 (i think it was) and that's a one day bargain, normally priced at $1499. Betcha it wouldn't even be certified by any third party grading service we've ever heard of either (probably their own subsidiary). Oh yeah, and right at the beginning of the call he said "you know sir, that the 1/10 is the smallest gold coin minted by the US Mint, right? It's about the size of a fingernail, half the size of a dime. I'm obligated to tell you that. But I do have some good news to tell you."

Apparently their marketing department has calculated that enough people are suckered to make this loss leader to entice callers pay for the writedown. When the ratio changes against their favor they will pull the promotion, regardless of what their deadline states. I'm almost surprised they didn't claim "Oh, we're sorry sir, those items have all been sold out, but let us tell you what we DO have."

yup.. i hear ya. i feigned enthusiasm though, to make sure that didn't happen! "oh, those sound amazing! i love rare coins! is there a # i can reach you at if i'm able to get enough money together to buy 10 of them at only $1,400 for a 1/2 ouce!!?"

ordered my ten, they recite the whole "buy this graded coin instead" and " i gotta tell you, this gold coin is smaller than a dime". 12 minutes later, my order was complete and now i wait 10 business days for my fractional gold!!!

Doubt that (To be clear - I doubt them, not you). I've placed orders for five or six of these specials over the last couple of weeks and only two have been processed and charged.

so apparently nationwide has cancelled my order after i refused to purchase additional coins.

I received a phone call on Thursday, asking if I had received my coins yet. I stated no , i did not receive them yet, as I just placed the order 24 hours previous. He checked and said oh, you're correct, they are shipping out UPS today, you should have them any day now. please give me a call when you receive them. my checking account was charged, a pending transaction for $1528

now, I just checked my bank account, and there is no record of any $1528 transaction. (or anything close) i called the # and they guy told me they are sold out. I said well, i have a confirmed order that is supposed to be on the way.

What gives? This is complete fraud, am I mistaken? What kind of recourse, if any, do I have?

I doubt there is any recourse. I'm sure they have, "we reserve the right to cancel/amend/etc. any time without notice."

None of these 'special offers' have any recourse; they all have some sort of language allowing the transaction to be canceled. It seems like the first few taking up the offers get the coins and once it goes "viral" it's a crap-shoot as to whether you get anything.

DAMN, that might happen to any of us, oh well, great deal. but the do have the right to refuse service and give you the credit that they charged.

I just ordered mine. I REALLY hope this goes through too! I was heading to pick up 10 from someone yesterday (for $165 a piece) and he flaked out on me. I REALLY hope I didn't get skunked 2 days in a row looking for these! They told me they still had them... but we'll see! All ya can do is hope. 1st person to get there's post it PLEASE!

I just ordered 10 Gold eagles and they said would be here in 7-10 days. I was on the phone for 7-8 minutes with a little high pressure sales but not too bad.
