Yes..I was hoping it was a brand or maker's mark...but it's damn near all together. I did find one recently with a "T & C" brand and found that company but their brand/maker's mark was a great distance away for the 14K stamp. That's why this on was iffy for me!

Get a powerful magnet and see if it sticks.

If not, try and scratch it to see if it is solid k gold.

If it passes both those tests, it is most likely 18k.

Have you ever bought any gold jewelry that was sold on HSN (HomeShoppingNetwork)?

My daughters have cases of it, inherited from my mother, who was addicted to HSN before she died 10 years ago. She spent well into 5 figures on the stuff over a couple of year. I thought it was awful at the time, and I pawned some of the worst of it off (wish now I hadn't). It is probably finally now worth more than she paid for it. The stuff is what it claims to be, though there are pieces that are gold plated other stuff (some gold plated sterling).

I've told my daugthers that that is their gold for the future, to hang onto it regardless of whether they like the pieces or not.

I doubt that a company that makes a fortune by selling vastly over priced items needs to lie about the purity. It is probably legit.
