It is an OBL bounce. His ratings were lower. However, this is not his all time high either so not sure how the current poll is indicative of the most compelling reason in your lifetime. I would have guessed when you first learned about the FRB and fiat currency, you would have discovered the most compelling reason in your lifetime.

Cheers

God help this country if he is re-elected,any money made on the silver and gold trade will go to pay for someone elses wellbeing. I dont mind helping the down trodding, but let me make the decision to do it. No mandates please.

Try to remember not to feel abused when you see the "homeless" guy that was just asking for handouts at the intersection, standing in front of you in line at the coin shop, waiting to buy eagles.

I dont think O will have a problem getting reelected. It will be dramatic and you'll think hes a goner, but blame right back in the seat.
Would anything be better with that Mc guy in office? I think we are screwed without a chance either way.

I bet healthcare, war, economy and metal prices would be just as worse with the other R guy/gal.
Nothing will change reguardless of whos face you see reading the monitor.

I wonder during election time how low the price of silver will be?

If bHo is re-elected, lead will be worth more than silver.

Consider the source. AP is owned by Soros the last time I read anything about it. Of course, they will lie about anything to help Obama.

They are the lyingest liars that ever lied a lie in modern news history. They hate R's with a passion.

The R's have earned some of that disrespect, but Emperor O is so bad it makes us miss them!

Here is a link about Soros' influence on the news media: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2011/05/ ... z1M8trgdMt

 I don't know how they can just stand there in one spot all day long. That would kill me. I prefer to go door to door. :P

Obama winning re election and continuing to force a liberal tax and spend and tax some more and print more money agenda isn't super bullish for silver and gold? I am still learning about the market and what influences what but I thought I was spot on on this assumption.

I still think that a dollar collapse will be imminent anyway unless we amazingly elected someone who is serious about reversing our spending habits. I just don't think that we can keep funding all of the entitlements without accepting insolvency eventually.

Hillarious--all the Obama bashing. Reading these posts, you would think the economy and US financial practices were humming along just great...then he got here and screwed everything up!

I think the consensus here is not that he is solely responsible for the problem where as those before him are not... but rather that he is NOT responsible for the solution and that if he was re elected, things would continue the way they have been continuing because he is clearly clueless about what is going on and why it is going on.

I've read summaries of this, not the whole thing. Thanks! I saved it, will print it, and read the whole thing. I want to understand what they are (or were, at the time) thinking...

Yeah, you are right. He is the man with the target on his chest now (and he wanted the job!). We love to pick on our Prez. This financial catastrophe started long ago, circa 1913. Every President since then has gone along with it. Each year adding to the morass, making it worse until we arrive to were we are today.

Who is really to blame? US! We allowed this clowns to get away with it. Now, we are rapidly approaching "critical mass" of a fiat paper money melt down. What do our politicians do? Instead of stomping on the brake to try to stop it, they floor the gas pedal and speed us ever faster to that great dollar collapse that is coming soon.

Conservatives were complaining all along about Bush, but the left (they are certainly not "liberals" in the classic sense) were having screaming hysterics about Bush so the criticism from the so called "right" was drowned out. Who can hear a quiet comment while the lynch mob is screaming?

Bush was harmful to the economy. Obama is a catastrophe. Don't try to equate someone who shoplifts a candy bar with someone who pulls an armed robbery.

What bizarre reasoning, or should I say rationalizing. Who can hear a quiet comment--well why so quiet? You're certainly screaming now--why not then, through misguided military invasions, unfunded prescription plans and unfunded tax breaks focused on the wealthiest 1%? I'm not sure by what measure you can say he is a catastrophe--unless you're pretending history began on his inaguration day and all those economic measurements going downward just didn't exist. Pretty tough to stop a speeding train that has already gone over a cliff. You guys don't want to acknowledge the dire situation the economy was in when he got here--but it is a fact.

I would like to point out the debt clock in time square was stopped in 2000 because the debt was falling. Then along comes a fraud election and then the demolition team goes to ny and the western world invades the midle east and now africa. This means a democrat was in power when the national debt was last stable. During that fraud election Al Gore promised to start paying off the debt where as GBjr promised the national debt will be a priority in the future. GBjr was right... National debt is a priority.

Im not saying Obama is good by any means infact I think he sucks at his current job. I just think those who believe they are republicans or conservatives should step back and examine what their values and beliefs are. Is waging war of 2 and now possibly 3 and potentially 4 fronts worth the national debt that it is causing? Medical care and handouts to the poor instead of the rich are so small compared to the military expense. insert quote here "Don't try to equate someone who shoplifts a candy bar with someone who pulls an armed robbery."

The part that gets me is the republicans some how have the religious vote. Now I dont claim to be a religious expert but arent the religious people the ones setting up soup kitchens for the poor and saying its better to forgive others. Infact the half way house I worked at was founded by religious people for a religious cause. How do they on mass in both Canada and the USA vote for a person or party that favours handouts (soup kitchens) for the rich, punitive retaliation to international threats, drug use and any other crime (excluding election fraud) with plans of even greater and more expensive prisons to incarcerate, those who commit petty crimes, for longer and longer periods.

Now you may think... ahh another "bleeding heart" liberal. But I am not in favour of any party over another. There are parts of every political party that I like. My conservative friends "know" Im a bleeding heart liberal and my liberal friends "know" Im a gun slining conservative. I am just a human being that likes to think and reason to the best of my ability. It's that thinking that had me sorting common coins for their metal value after learning of fiat currency and then stumbling upon realcent. I think we all (deffinately those on realcent) have the ability to step back and reason and think. If we dont do that the movie Idiocracy will be the new reality.

For the record Fox news remindes me of Idiocracy.
