GOLD is going to $1600 tomorrow. Since SILVER has broke out too, it could challenge $39+. Folks are starting to think that the default (or downgrade) of the US Treasury is possible. That event is being factored in to the price of PMs currently. In addition, world elites are beginning to be scared of the possiblity of a worldwide currency collapse. Most large investment house portfolios have 1.5% PMs, and they have been underweight for years from the established 5%. Along with sovereign buying, this looks like a portfolio reallaction that has begun in earnest.

I agree. Once investors digest the Moody's downgrade warning, I think gold will challenge 1600 and silver 40. The only thing that can stop this run is a credible resolution of the debt limit stand off.

We are on a long uptrend, and the silver and gold action today signals the beginning of a new rally. I do not expect it to shoot straight upwards, but I do believe before it runs it's course we will see a new high in silver and possibly $1750 gold. The another correction at some point. Just beware of "irrational exhuberance"

up up and up... who wants to hold dollars over this weekend? Safety net is gold, and if there is any type of selling, it will be on Monday after nothing happens over the weekend...

I dont know. I still feel we will see another big drop. Im basing this entirely on a gut feeling so dont use my opinion as an indication of anything. Sometime before the fall I think we might dip into the 20s. Either way Im forced to liquidate some of my holdings. oh well... thats life...

Gold will break $1600 tomorrow, silver will near $40, but then both will get maneuvered downward again. At the end of the day, gold will show a $5 gain, silver 20 cents.

Wow - you're the MAN! I'm saying this about 5 minutes before close (so there could be a last second change), and it wasn't a perfect overall call (slightly off on the highs), but it is as close as one can get with a near perfect closing call. Great call!

Silver closed down.

Gold closed up.
