I went to my 1st non coin auction and really messed up.
There was a 12 silver bar Norman rockwell set that was on bid
Hardly anyone there cared about them and it was just me and 2 other guys bidding; I didnt get to preview the auction thoroughly enough so I was not sure if they were 0.999 or sterling and if they were a full ounce or not.
Turns out they were 0.999 and they were a full ounce One of the guys that works there won them.
I chickened out at $180 so he got them for about $207 after the 15% fee ARRGGGG
On the bright side, I did get a box that had 2 hummels in it for $30 and one of the hummels is excellent shape and is a 1967 GOEBEL CHARLOT BYJ 49 TRIM LASS REDHEAD FIGURINE and that same box was full of brass items for melting
Also got a lot of foreign coins for $7 and one of the coins was a Chinese dollar yuan with 0.7554 oz silver
To be honest though it is going to eat me up about those silver bars
