APMEX is listing the silver close at $38.95 per toz.

I doubt they would suspend sales if they thought it was going to plummet. Hell, if anything they would be promoting a sale.

I like your contrarian call. The markets are designed to inflict the most pain on the most people. But is your call really contrarian? Everybody, their brother, second cousin, butcher, hairdresser and illegal maid all believe gold will get hit again the way it did in 2008.

i hope it will drop so we can buy some at a cheaper price but i dont know that its going to happen

APMEX lowered the price right after they suspended it , some of it was well over 10% from spot price..............Scary times ahead! They were wanting nearly DOUBLE spot for gram bars!

I believe it will probably do both in the near future. I could see it shooting up overnight, and I suspect this is the reason APMEX is doing what they are doing. (For those that don't know, this isn't the first time APMEX has done this btw...)

Whether it stays up or not depends largely on how things go in Europe this week, I could see a massive sell-off across all markets coming shortly thereafter, in which case we're likely to see a repeat of 2008 in the PM market. I don't believe Gold will be hit as hard as silver however, nor do I see Gold being hit nearly as hard as it was in 2008.
