anyone think people would start investing in platinum if it stays this way? I think the main problem with platinum is it seems like it depends on industry more than even silver.

i'm not aware of any central banks that own plat.

I bought some gold about 10 days ago.

Pt was $1791/toz and I bought a quarter ounce Eagle proof at spot.

Only Pt I have seen except some Chinese 20ths IIRC.



So, getting my feet wet got me to watch....dropped like a rock, lol.

Well, the gold made up for it.

Dealer said he gets no interest and "nobody wants it"

I don't think I will stack much and think I have just the right amount for now.

I like having samples of the elements and want some Palladium when the chance arises.

I think one of the drawbacks is it moves in whole dollars. Not easy to play with.

Platinum tends to do well in good markets and bad in down markets. I have been watching it for sometime but I don't think this is the time to buy.

At what amount did they intersect? Platinum can be expected to drop more in this sour economy. If silver goes ballistic, platinum could be the new silver. Oh well. Interesting to think about these things.

Wouldnt mind grabbing some platinum- but the $160 premium per coin on Apmex and the fact their sold out at that price scares me!
