Someone had an ad online for a gold sovereign for $800 --- just one coin
I emailed him asking if he is willing to bring it more in line with spot and the prices of APMEX
This is the response I got:
1907 Gold Coin English Pre WWI British Empire Precious Rare Coins

But , we're positive it'll bring $800 in time
Best of luck in what you're doing

Pure greed. It will be his downfall.
Why don't you simply buy a sovereign from APMEX?

I don't usually buy from APMEX since we have great deals on here
Was just trying to negotiate an internet deal

Got ya. I have negotiated great deals (mostly bulk silver coin purchases) with many Ebay members over the last 10 years... the worst they can do is say 'no'.
Speaking of APMEX, I remember buying a few 100 British Sovereigns from APMEX when they were below $200 per coin. I have some very nice ones from the early 1800's.
Time is precious, stop wasting it.
