I don't know what it means, but I've never find so much nonsense on Ebay. It seems there is no more interesting silver coins out there; the only one sells for way too much.

Maybe it's an indication of what's to come.

Or maybe it's nothing.

Anyway, I don't see how I can buy at such premiums.

The sellers have to sell at a premium to cover the big eBay and PayPal bite. Otherwise they would just be better off wholesaling it.

Balz,

Are you using the eBay.ca site (Canada)? I don't find much silver there and I often see a lot of inflated prices for individual coins. But ebay.com is an entirely different story. There are always silver coins to be found there.

amen. There's the auctions for silver coin rolls, and the top notch sellers start their auctions between 0.99 and 9.99. and the market finds its level, and that level has been 28 times and 33-34 times face, for 90's...American coins. Of course, you'll see multiple BIN, 'buy it now' listings, but 90% of these offers contain "premiums"...these "premiums" to me, are just guys who are either sniffing paint solvents, or hope to catch the new buyer, who doesnt know his azz from a burnt biscuit. in BIN's i've seen rolls of ASES offered for 1300 USD..please..i've seen rolls of Franklins offered at 599 USD....on 22 Sep 2011, thats just wishful thinking.

i myself am gonna "chill" for awhile, coz it seems somewhat apparent, we're going to retest the 33 and below area, which should be regarded as opportunity, rather than a cause for sorrow. For me, Ebay is the place to buy silver, i have nothing bad to say about Ebay, its a good thing, provided one minds their trading, and bids smart, and blows off the obvious chuckleheads. neil

Exactly.

The funny thing is, that doesn't stop folks from bidding. They are getting multiple bids on items that are overpriced... some are waaaaay overpriced.
