Rats, foiled again.

I picked up a few CWR of halves today. Again, no silver. That's why I gave up months ago. Just thought I would give it a try.

However, one of the rolls was marked "BU" which made me rather excited until I took the coins out. They are all 1776-1976.

There was also another roll of BUs as follows. They are in better shape than the Bicentennial halves with bright coppery-orange edges although the optimized scan may not show it.
1-1995P
3-1995D
14-1997P
1-1998D
1-2000P

Anyway, are these coins worth more that $0.50 each? I will just buy gas with them if not.

Out of the last $5000 of halves I've got, $4500 of them have been solid rolls (with a very few exceptions) of BUs - 1994-P, 1994-D, 1995-P, 1998-P, and 2000-P. These are coming from the Richmond, VA fed via Brink's. Maybe some will come your way too. I'm kind of sick of them, because it's impossible to get any SILVER from these. :(

Sounds like I'm not missing much, having stopped sorting six months ago or so. Bill... are the nationwide finds results for halves showing a noticeable drop-off?

The experts have all weighed in. Some have recommended that I use my halves as gas money and some are just full of gas. :P
