Couldn't sleep last night and was flipping through the channels at 4AM. As I was passing the Home Shopping Network they were selling the 25th Anniversary eagle set all graded 69s by ANACS for $1500. They claimed to have 300 sets and over 200 were already sold. Better call in today if you want one!!!!
I guess their target market is millionaire insomniacs who have never heard of ebay or coin stores.

Millionaire's are not likely their target. The under-informed with a credit card is likely their target.
And even people that have heard of eBay have also heard of the "horror stories" of buying fake coins, etc.

I like to watch this show just to see how much they market these things up. I was watching the other night and they were saying the 2006 anniversary set they were selling was the hottest item you could get under 500. They were selling it for 499.95

I've listened to their spiels and it's all in the wording, but yes, imo they are looking for suckers.

I hope my mother-in-law was watching, and bought me one for Christmas. HSN is where she always buys my Christmas presents. They always suck too. Here's to hoping though.

Tell her to call me. I'll let her have one for a mere $1400
