I was at Amazon recently to buy an unusual part for my wireless microphone system. At checkout they offered an Amazon Mastercard with a $40.00 credit on my next purchase if approved. A couple days later I got the approval, so I ordered this 2011 American Silver Eagle, BU for $39.95 + $4.99 shipping through Amazon's website. The coin came from Eastern Numismatics, Inc. So my net cost for this coin, after the $40.00 credit on that purchase was $4.94. I have used Amazon enough in the past to possibly keep this card and use it from time to time if they offer special deals. It is a no fee card, so if I don't use it, it was still worth it to get the Eagle at $26.00 below spot. I had a little difficulty getting the lighting right for this close up of the coin. I did it without a flash, with the camera set to super macro. The flash kept obliterating the fine details of the coin.

That is still one of the most beautiful coin designs ever.

Nice deal!

I agree, the walking liberty imprint is fabulous!

The engraving on the ASE is the finest I have seen on coins. It is much finer with more detail, than the AGE. While I would rather have the AGE due to its 55x value compared the the ASE, the ASE coin is more beautiful. I have shared this beauty over the years, giving them away as gifts and tokens of appreciation.

It is, if you want to open an Amazon Mastercard account. Anyone else try shopping at Amazon lately and get the same offer? I got the offer on 11/7 and then ordered this eagle on the 15th. Had I waited a few days, I might have had something of the $40.00 credit left over.
