It was a good day

I've had a coin machine in a local store for 6 months now, the only thing of any interest I've found until today were a couple of war nickels.
Today I was going trough the coins and found a 1936 buffalo nickel. Then I found a Mexican 1912 10 centavos coins, it's the size of a dime and it is silver too.
To top it all, I found 3 silver quarters, the first ones I've ever found in the wild. There were a bunch of quarters from the sixties and seventies, I guess I got a really old piggy bank.
Hope next week is even better.

What kind of coin machine do you have, and where did you get it?
Thanks

It is a ScanCoin 820, similar to the Coinstar. I got it used, hoping to find many old coins. So far it hasn't happened.

Do you charge a fee like coinstar does?

Yes, currently 6.9%, trying to get the word around and attract more customers.

That is pretty cool. I assume you have to do any maintenance on it yourself if it breaks down?

Is the machine in a good part of town, or lower part? That makes a big difference. Druggies tend to dump valuable coins

It is a fairly newer production and so far I only had to clear a printer jam. If it breaks I'll try to fix it, a tech visit will be pretty expensive.
So far I haven't seen a big increase in the volume, at this rate it will take almost two years to pay it off.
Unless grandma dumps grandpa's collection in
