There's this new girl...

Postby njoElec » Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:39 pm

I thought I would bring this up, and a know a lot of members here love reading about women who also sort coins or at least are aware of others sorting coins :D

So I met a new girl at a dance on New Years. Being a Mormon, our dances don't consist of alcohol or anything of that nature. We hit it off, I asked her out and we went out this past Tuesday.

Needless to say the date went great, and I have another one set up next week with her.

During our discussion, I don't know how it was even brought up (I'm sure I brought it up) we ended up talking about silver. Later we started talking about pennies and nickels and she told me her parents save them (after I stuck a nickel I got in change making some sort of odd comment about doing so). I thought it was great and I admitted to her that I hoarded copper cents and nickels ;) She said that it was soo cool that I was doing that! We later joked more about it and she told me that I should go buy a box of pennies. (Since this girl is very cute, I don't think I'm ready to start sorting with her - I think her parents would probably sort with me instead of her, lol).

Now how the crap do some guys on here find women that are aware of sorting pennies?? lol as long as I don't talk about pennies all the time, I think her and I will be good :D

Good job,

First of all, you should not sort together until you are married.

Being a single Morman man, I'm sure you will appreciate the fact that sorting takes your mind off of sex and will relieve some of those tensions. I'm serious here. During long periods where Mrs. Thogey and I for whatever reason cannot find a convenient meeting time and place, sorting really helps calm the libido.

It's a good clean hobby.

BTW How cute is 'very cute' ....details?
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

Yeah if a chicks had a scale....lets say P-1 to MS-70 where would she fall?..............MS-64.

Be careful MS-70s are hard to find and cost quite a bit more than MS-69's.

WV mormon.......morgantown or eastern panhandle?

If women have 'surgical enhancements' does that add "details" to the grade?

No.

It counts as improperly cleaned.

I was thinking the same thing. Actually, my wife won't let me near her if I have been sorting.

Mr Thogey -

lol, I was cracking up when I read your entire reply!! NOW if you want to get all technical by grading her with her looks by coin standards - which would you like? Red Book or Grey Sheet?
I'll put it this way - she's definitely up there and I think I need to sort more pennies soon to get my mind off her all of the time!!! :D If I don't increase my sorting operation, my libido and I may have a little problem..

Rodebaugh! I'm in the eastern panhandle of lovely WV! There's TONS of stuff to do here, I just can't even begin to start....:D (note the sarcasm haha)

As for hot tellers - this is even BETTER!!!!!! lol guys - they're out there, just gotta get lucky like I did!

if you do give into the temptation of pre-marital sorting, I want to hear all the sordid-sorted details!

actually, I too was looking forward to hearing about the hot new teller girl myself. Being old enough to be their father most of the time, I enjoy going back in time hearing about you youngins making your play.
But congrats to the original poster and your nice find.

this conversation is hilarious.

I do admit to using coins as a topic of conversation with the ladies. I think they like the change from the "norm" and it seem quirky or charming.

I like chatting it up with the cute bank tellers as I ask for penny boxes. They're strange looks become smiles and friendly jokes later as you pick up boxes and boxes of rolls.

I was thinking that as well as, her dad is probibly reading this
"The study of money, above all other fields in economics, is one in which complexity is used to disguise truth or to evade truth, not to reveal it. The process by which banks create money is so simple the mind is repelled. With something so important, a deeper mystery seems only decent." John Kenneth Galbraith 1975
