I wouldn't have thought that my two favorite topics of interest could have ever come together in one story. :) It's a shame, though. It looks like it's in good shape....

I do not understand why someone would do that. I can't imagine a collector doing that. I would have sent a zinc.

I think that is awesome. What a nod to our hobby! Think of all the other things that could have been there.

Will this be the first Earth money to ever be on another planet? Imagine the confusion this will cause after the rover is lost, forgotten, and rediscovered by future generations.

Their not that rare. I'll pulled out four or five them in sorting. 8-)

good thing he bought and paid for it himself. If the gov't would have bought it, they would have spent 10-20k i'm sure.
