Found my first wide A M

Postby GGerrands » Wed Feb 22, 2012 6:43 am

But it's just a '98, not a '99. I'm 90% confident it's a wide AM, having compared the "FG" in addition to the letter spacing. If only there was a way to get a photo up...do any of you guys have any luck scanning images of coins? I think I have a scanner somewhere.

Thanks all. I believe it was Jonas' post about finding a 99 that inspired me to more diligently check the backs of the 98s, 99s, & 00s. I tried separating them out in their own bucket then going back to look through them all at once, but I prefer doing it as I sort each roll.

On an unrelated note, found my 3rd non-Canadian foreign coin today: a 1 balboa Panamanian coin with Urraca on the front.

The FG is closer to the steps on a Wide AM cent and farther away on a regular.
