1977 Half Error (Update:magicians coin)

Postby reddirtcoins » Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:15 pm

Not that I ever keep these things but, while searching tonight I came across a weird find. I half that had a hollow ring to it. :?: While looking at it I noticed the reverse rotation of about 70%. The eagles head is in the 7-8 o'clock position. :!: Now I just have to search and see what this thing really is.... :?
Everything else looks normal.

I bet it's a magicians trick coin. Look closely for a seam around the rim.

Too a few slams on the counter but I got it opened... The reverse on the inside is a Mexican copper coin back.. Guess I'll keep it for fun...
