Hello, and my first Newbie $50 bag

Postby Bigsarge » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:28 pm

Hi folks, Just a quick hello. I've been enjoying reading through the forums here for the last week or so, very informative. This has actually turned into a fun hobby for the wife and I. We sit down with a couple a beers and go through them, she loves finding Wheats.

We hand sorted most of the bag, but I just bought a new Ryedale Sniper 2 off Feebay. Love it! I ran my box of 82s through it.

We just finished a $50 dollar bag of pennies from my CU, here are the results:

Finished with a ratio of about 29.2% copper

16 Wheats:
1919, 1926, 1944+44d, 1945+45d, 1946+46d, 1947d, 1952d, 1954d, 1955d, 1956+56d, 1957+57d

11 Canadians are:
53, 64, 65, 68x2, 69, 72, 78, 81, 88, 93

My wife also found a Rep of Panama 1986 cent

Happy Hunting!
Oh, this is the worst-looking hat I ever saw. What, when you buy a hat like this I bet you get a free bowl of soup, huh?

Oh, it looks good on you though.

Welcome to the forum. That's a nice %...high enough to keep you motivated. And you are north enough to pick up a decent amount of Canadian coin.

Good luck 8-)

Welcome to RC and you have done great getting a $50 bag. I have had to rely soley on boxes or CWR. Now its time to recycle those zinc's and get another bag.

Welcome.....from the HoosierLand! I'll take a walk on the beach. Then I'll do my best Sara Palin impersonation....."I can see Wisconsin from my porch!"

Got any cheese?

I need to do a little fishing on that lake that's just over the border form Illinois....and metal detect it, too!

Anyway...great job on the bags. I have secured two bag sources. Much easier that messing with so many boxes.
