Canadian Note question

I know this is a coin forum but I got 100 crisp 1967 Canadian $1 notes as a part of a coin lot this weekend.

I notice that some of them have serial numbers and some of them don't.

Can someone please educate me on why that is and if the serial numbered ones have more value.

I see these crisp notes sell for $4+ each on ebay. Is this the value?

In fact, the notes without a number were given directly at the Bank, and were not supposed to be put into circulation. Because they were aimed as a keepsake, a lot of them have been retained by a lot of people. My book puts them at a value of 4$ uncirc, as opposed to 6$ for one with serial numbers.

Probably be your best bet.

In my area one can get them in AU and higher for $2-$3. The 1954's and both versions of the Centennial, doesn't matter. Again, just my area, other areas I'm sure will differ.

I personally like the series.

The LCS give me $1.50 for really crisp $1 notes from 67 and before. They wont buy larger denomenations because they say they are harder to sell unless they have the devils face.
