Bought a tube of mixed dated ASEs from my LCS yesterday and noticed he put in 3 BU 1996's (key date-low mintage) in the mix. Not sure if by mistake or he didn't care. Do these still command a premium over common date ASEs? I don't trade on Ebay and haven't followed the market on these. Paid $34 each on these.

the 1996 do carry a premium but not like they used to.
sort of like the aniversary ASE`s sets.

They still carry a $5-$10 premium.

Definitely, anyone hawking one always seems to try and get more for it, simply because they are a little bit harder to come by.
