RCM to mint glow-in-the-dark quarters

Postby drummermatt » Fri Apr 13, 2012 2:57 pm

With the RCM canning the penny shortly, they made news again announcing glow-in-the-dark prehistoric series coins. I thought this was a joke but apparently it's the real deal, albeit in a limited-edition release. Why can't the US Mint give us something this funky and interesting?!

Thanks for the heads up, awesome coin, I ordered 5 lol. I figure a couple to save and nephews birthdays as what pre-teen boy doesn't like dinosaurs, right?

I ordered on the 15th. Took the order, but we will see if it's filled. Have to pay duty to come into the US, if I get my full order.

another awesome product from the rcm,I collect canadian quarters(mostly colorized) but any commerative will do so why dont i collect state quarters?I really dont know why.is it becouse the canadian coins are something different and the state quarters are so common to me.Or are the canadian coins just superior.

These are pretty cool, not really my thing but very neat. I was browsing the bay today and they are going for around $70 a pop  Could be a nice flip opportunity if anyone has some extras.

When I seen "glow in the dark coins" I thoughtr the PCM had aquired a metal line from Japan!
