Ironic copper at the bank

Nice to see they're putting that bailout cash to good use :P

It did seem strange to stroll past with 2 boxes of cents under my arm.

Those copper downspouts don't last long.

They tend to disappear. We should have a pool on how long that one lasts.
If I have the gift of prophesy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to move mountains but do not have love I am nothing. And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned but do not have love it profits me nothing.

It's funny you post that picture. My bank has beautiful copper 4" gutters which would be a lot harder to tear off. They better hope that copper turns green fast or it won't last a month! By the way where is that bank located. Address please....lol. Just kidding.

I've never seen gutters or down spouts made of all copper like this one! Sure looks nice...until time and weather start to work on it!

I don't see those around where I live either. I do see copper chimney caps, which I think everyone should have. Why do they use copper for downspouts, seems expensive.

They might be running a small "test current" along it to alert them of breaks to
set off an alarm. 5V can do the job to measure continuity...

...of course 10,000V can too! ;)

I would love to see the same picture from the same angle next week after it's stolen.

It's a trap!

Wow. Why would they do that? After that one gets stolen maybe they can make one out of gold, or hundred dollar bills. Flaunt it a little more.

:D

I'm at that branch a lot. It's one of my only dual stops (buy/dump)...so I'll be sure to get a pic of the crime scene.

That's exactly what I was thinking -- I wonder if they already have a camera pointed at that spot though....
