Ethernet copper Cables?

Postby blackrabbit » Thu Nov 25, 2010 1:17 pm

Anyone know if you can scrap copper ethernet cables and how much they are worth? My brother throws out 100's of pounds of them at his work and would rather be scrapping them. Thank you gurus of turning garbage into gold!
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

Yes you can scrap them, but I don't know what they are worth for scrap.

If the cables are still good, you can sell them on Ebay for more than scrap value.

Sounds like a great opportunity to make a few bucks other than scrap.

I get 0.50 per lb for them here in CT. My yard calls them low grade wire.
