Saturday while I was dumping half dollars in one of the better machines I've ever used (no bags), I had a very nice surprise which turned out to be a first for me. The machine is a flat spinning pad, that spins at quite a high speed, so when there are no coins on it you can hear that fast spinning as sort of a whooshing sound. If something remains on the spinner, and doesn't drop into the coin hopper, you can hear that particular "something" continually going round and round. You can't see it because the high rate of spinning speed makes it appear as a blur, so you have to reach down and hope it isn't something too very sharp. Well I reached in and it was a bent up 1981 half dollar that the machine was not accepting. No biggie, I just put it in my pocket but the sound of something going around and around didn't stop, so I reached in again and pulled out my first ever silver dollar. Thanks for reading, and enjoy the picture.
