Cheap furniture brass question

Are the "brass" hinges and handles on the cheap "sawder" / wally mart furniture really true brass? Gotta couple of pieces I need to get rid of and wondered if the hardware was worth keeping. Thanks in advance for the help.

put a magnet to it, sticks the answer is no, don't stick, answer probably still no, file into it if the magnet don't stick, yellow inside=brass
