1999-P Halves Found

Postby Country » Fri Jun 08, 2012 8:53 pm

1999-P is a clad half, but it is the lowest minted business strike half produced (8.9M). Tonight I got 4 boxes of halves from my source bank. The majority of the coins are BU 1999-P halves. The rub is that there were a few percent of circulated halves thrown in to dirty up the boxes. I'm tempted to open all the bullet rolls and remove the dirty circulated and rewrap the BU 1999-Ps.

Would there be a market for this clad half in quantity?

there may be a little market for them here or on ebay, but you're going to have to work to make anything on them.

I sorted out a clean box of 1999-P halves. I dumped the rest of them this morning. Thanks for the advice though.

Looking at ebay completed auctions, some went for 2X or more in full rolls and some looks like they may have lost $ after shipping and fees. Most look like they did Ok though.
