Geez - this is sick... I don't know who I'm more disappointed in - the person that dropped them off, or the teller that let them get away...

Always ask for the 'Big Dollars'- never call them ikes or Eisenhowers. Just play dumb and ask for 'big dollars'

You will be surprised at what you get. I got 2 peace dollars doing this. Remember it just looks like a big coin with a girl on it to them

Wow. I would expect silver dollars to show up occasionally, but ASEs? WTF? Makes me think I should ask if they have any nice $50 or $100 coins next time I go to the bank...

I always ask for the large dollar coins. I take all they have and it usually makes them very happy to get rid of them.

When she asked if I wanted them I suspected they were different because this teller always sells me her Ikes, so when she looked them over she said they say one dollar on the coins. I was thinking peace or morgans but was amazed to liberty on them.

Oh, it was my birthday so I loved the present. :D

Did she say anything about, or at least acknowledge, the "1 oz. Fine Silver"??

Ain't karma cool? :D

Everyday, people who know nothing about coins & pm's inherit coins & pm's. They bring them to the bank cause they're too mistrusting to go anywhere else. It almost never ends well for them, one way or the other.

I wasn't there to see it, but one of my smarter tellers told me a woman was frustrated at the Penny Arcade after it repeatedly rejected her 1/10 oz AGE's. She had a tube full. Hey, they do say $5 on them, right?

Now, he says he set her straight...but he sort've said it with a cheshire grin.

Some times I get lucky too. However, I think we are talking about two different things, because I never get silver eagles.

Nope, just that they said one dollar and that with a 'not sure if she got ripped off tone'.

That makes it 10x better!! She was probably relieved when you took them!

Ask her a question about Jersey Shore or the Bachelorette, and she probably would have talked your ear off knowledgeably. It's not stupidity--it's ignorance!

Wow! Buy that teller a pizza or something! Happy Birthday indeed!
