Hi-quality scales (scientific scales)

I would like to buy a high quality scale. I'm looking for something that will measure to the tenth of a gram accurately, with the hundredth of a gram as the doubtful digit.

can anyone recommend a scale and how much i should pay for it?

from a pm point of view, i want to weigh silver and gold to the nearest tenth of a gram, and we homeschool so it will do double duty in a science lab.

Good link thanks. There are several scales there reading to .002 to .001 gram for about the same price. That extra digit costs you about 10x in price!

I'm happy for the moment with my 0.01 g scale for $14ish.

hey LT, I have two pocket scales that I use in MY penny processing area..my most used is a AMS( American Weigh Scale) AMW TOUCH 100...it is a 100g x 0.01g, it is touchscreen and comes to the weight quickly paid $75 at the local head shop. I needed it quickly otherwise I would have shopped around. I use this one for buying gold also, I would not use this next one for gold. The other scale is a $15 dollar ebay scale, it is a 500g x 0.1g. It does not read the weight quickly...kinda floats a little before it settles on the final number. It's for rolls, I don't use it very often. I have one more electronic scale that goes to 125 lbs for weighing those ctu's.

Go for a moderate priced 0.01g scale and it weigh what you want to do well.
