Box of Zebra Abes

Sold one of them to NDFarmer awile back and was wondering if anyone else ever came across such crazy rolls in their boxes.

The rolls consisted of about 70%+ brand new 2010's, about 25%+ coppers, and the rest a few scattered zincs.
Needless to say, when I opened the box, the mix of brand new uncirc with the old dusties made for a zebraesque blast.

You ever seen any like that?

Nope not me...I either get all new or all circulated rolls. Interesting find, though.

yep "dirty rolls" sometimes only one or two older coins amongst the rolls of new coins....most recently tried to save a box of '10's...but after three months they started to check(spots)....so off to the green machine they went.

Yea only in TX and not IL have I gotten the zebra boxes

Yep, got one up on the buy it now page. 2009 cabin pennies but I would call it closer to 95 % zinc 5 % other. Get them and 2010s all time here. I have never seen any start to spot but I keep mine in a climate controlled place. That might be the the reason for this.

got a few rolls in a box down here in Florida that had a couple rolls with one or two older cents in them. I took them out and replaced them with clean rolls so i would have atleast 1 full box for my stash.

I get them here.. and also have traded or bought several dirty boxes from other members. It is a lot more common than you think. It is a bit of work, but I just throw on the gloves, sort em out and reroll them in N.F. String and Son paper so I know anything I sell is a clean roll.
