Have a person wanting to sell some but I have yet to dabble in silver nickels other than what I get locally for 5 cents each. What would you pay and do your coin shops buy them?

Did they give you a price? What do they want for each one? According to coinflation they are worth about $1.60 each.

He will do 300 coins for $430. Thats 25.46 per oz of silver, sounds too good a deal.
Do people not like them that much?`

Unless you are going to keep them for some time, most places will not give you much for them as most do not like to mess with them. The place I usually take my 40% to sell will only give me about 75% of melt for them. Last ones I sold they were worth about 1.05 per coinflation, but the shop would only pay me 75 cents each. And they do give me a very fair price for my 40%.
