This certainly won't be the end of it, but for now all the gun control bills are in deep freeze.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/04/18/us/po ... s-ban.htmlIn rapid succession, a bipartisan compromise to expand background checks for would-be gun purchasers, a ban on assault weapons and a ban on high-capacity gun magazines all failed to get the 60 votes needed under an agreement both parties had reached to consider the amendments.

Yay! A win for freedom! We get to keep the 2nd amendment for a little longer, which hopefully will help keep the first and fourth amendments intact for a little while longer too. They are all under attack. On that note I heard SOPA is back.

Did anyone watch Obama's speech afterward? Everyone in the video had the biggest frowns. One lady was crying and blowing her nose. They wanted to look sad and upset. Obama keep saying 90% of the public supported the bill. Not the people I know. He also kept talking about keeping the guns out of criminals and mentally ill people's hands. Referred to Sandy Hook. Hummm If I remember correctly he stole the guns from his mom and killed her too.
Simple fact. Criminals don't subject themselves to background checks. They do back alley deals.

As well as he can. I suspect that the feds are blocking some of the ammo imports as well. That does not need anything official, just a nudge and a wink.
