Your getting a good price for your shred!

I break into a lot of houses and cut up the ac units. Nothing to see here guys.
Im kidding, I have a contract with my employer to recycle everything. We haven't been doing as many changeouts and have been doing a lot more complete installs. So this actually isn't a very big load as I like to have 1,000 pounds of the rads but I can only let it pile up so high

Someone was rehabing a house, got the aluminum storm door and shower doors, took em apart and it's in the back of my truck. Now that I'm back to renting, my dumpster is big and it's easy to get rid of the glass. Scrapped a bunch of coated copper wire a few weeks back and got about $30 for it I believe.

Just brought a load to the recycler and got $29.80

I was suprised I got that much. We tore out our old tiled tube with shower door and put in a fiberglass unit. I took the door apart and ended up with about 10 lbs of sheet aluminum.

Also, I bought an old floor buffer at a garage sale a while back for $5 hoping to use it on our hardwood floor. We ended up renting a machine so I scrapped this one. That thing was built like a tank! I felt bad dismantling it because it was so solid, but it didn't work very well and I really wanted the cord for an extension cord. I ended up probably getting about $15-20 scrap from it, plus a 40ft 10ga extention cord (easily a $40-50 value) the total breakdown for the buffer is below:

10-15 lbs cast aluminum
8-10 lbs brass
30-40 lbs steel/tin
10-15 lbs motor

A good day!
Pennies: $4200 - (0) indians - (5)steel - (1) George V Canadian
Nickels: $6500 - (62)war - (23)buf - (1)V nic - (4) key date jeff's
Dimes: $5000 - (24)roos - (2)merc - (2)AgCAN
Halves: $8000 - (7)'64 - (33)40% - (1)walker
