At my usual Sat morning dime box pickup I was asked for drivers license and a social security number.
"New rule," she said. Non-customer cash transactions over $300.
Ok...she asked for
a SS #. I gave what I thought was a good one.

Get ready for a visit from the man, you terrorist scum!
"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered....The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."

I get id'd every time I pick up coin. From almost every bank. I just don't care.

I have never been id'd for coin. I would care
Soooo... Is it just me or is a chart of US debt looking dangerously parabolic?

There are some untraceable fake bills being passed. They originated from Canada and are so good they pass almost every know test for real bills. I suspect a counterfeiter would want to trade for coins and then get cash for coins and pass them. This is probably why they are now asking ID. There's much more info on this, but nothing more I can talk about.
