Silver... Are you still a buyer?

Silver... Are you still a buyer?

Postby Copper Catcher » Sun Jan 30, 2011 11:00 am

If you could buy .999 silver coins or bars at $30 would you still be a buyer?

With all the civil unrest in the world as well as the debt problem the US faces is it possible for silver to really crash in price? I do not doubt that along the way there will be short dips because it is unlikely silver, gold or even oil will go up in a straight line forever.

What say you?

I bought a lot at the coin show over the weekend. 90% US and .999. Bought and sold gold. I did not sell much silver because I purposely had my prices high. If someone want it, then they were going to have to pay up for it. I don't mind holding silver, and I'm always looking to buy more.

The risk of a significant pull back in the short term to around $20 is real, however I think the long term prospects are too good not to buy.

Dead in the water for now.

Has nothing to do with the market.

Made a small purchase at 27 bucks, but at 30 I would start thinking about some profits to be taken. However, I would hold most of my stash as world political/economic instability is just getting started!

Still buying. I am in it for the long haul. Sold some 90% to buy some .999 at melt. When silver is at $35 you will wish you bought at $30

I'm not buying silver, but not because of the price--I'm just only buying gold ATM.

Due to my location, I already regularly pay higher than $30 per ounce of .999, but will be happy to continue. As someone mentioned earlier, I see it going up significantly in the long-term so I'm happy to keep buying and just ride out any short-term dips.

I'm still buying. Yesterday at the flea market I pcked up 2 Barber halves, 2 Walkers and 2 Franklins all at $9 ea. and a Morgan dollar for $21. I think it was a good deal.

That was a great deal! I'd be buying those as well, if I had time to do flea markets. Still buying here... trying to keep the minimum in the banks to pay the bills, selling some gold and junk silver on price jumps and upgrading to some BU junk and .999 rounds on dips. Silver is taking a short breather right now, which is okay. But when the severity of the true physical silver scarcity becomes public... hold on for the ride of your lifetime. 8-)
