Re: Is Provident Metals playing games with me?

I had JM bullion do a similar thing with me. I sent them a check for some rounds. They say they are supposed to get the payment in two weeks or they can cancel the order. It got to within a couple of days of the cutoff and they were showing they still did not receive my check which had been sent 10 days prior. So I call them and ask about it. They tell me sometimes checks take weeks to arrive and they have not got mine yet. I start doubting my memory and decide to send them another check and tell them I am going to do so. They say fine. I send a check the next day and then later that day they say lo and behold they have my first check. Argh! I think these businesses just get behind sometimes in there whole processing and just pretend they don't have the mail delivered yet when it has been. It is bad customer service.

I agree blackrabbit and I think this was the case with my order.

I bought something from someone here and the payment was delayed, maybe lost. I sent a replacement, that arrived about the same time as the original payment.

USPS can be aggrevating.

Back when I was receiving a lot of inbound lettermail (1997-2002) I noticed that:

-Within Canada it would take about a week (or as little as 2-3 days if it was coming from
another "major city".)
-From Ausralia consistantly took about a week and a half.
-From the U.S. would typically take anywhere from 1-4 weeks. Generally stuff from the
western half was quicker than stuff from the eastern half but I'm not sure why there was
so much variability on each letter. Also not sure if the variation was as great within the
borders of the U.S. or if the variation was mostly happening at the border crossing.

So a letter randomly taking up to 4 weeks would not be particularily suprising to me.
