I would think that you provide her with more than half of all the cardboard she takes in. She needs your cardboard so she can finish her bales to send out. The other cardboard she gets is free, but it will take her a lot longer to get enough to ship out!

There were 3 of us that she would buy from. a furniture store that gave the cb to her. and yes. part of why they decided to take it from me again. was the 'large boxes' that I bring from the flower shop. they get used on the outside of the bales to 'hold ' the others in,
also to 'repair' some of the ripped bags that they send the broken glass out inside.

Roadside pickup last week- two wooden bookcases with removable shelves. Also three large rolls of thick fabric- the kind you would use to upholster a sofa or something like that.
Former stock broker w/ ~20 yrs. at one company. Spoke with 100k+ people and traded a lot (long, short, options, margin, extended hours, etc.).

NOTE: ANY stocks I discuss, no matter how compelling, carry risk- often
substantial. If not prepared to buy it multiple times in modest amounts without going overboard (assuming nothing really wrong with the company), you need to learn more about the market and managing risk. Also, please research covered calls (options) and selling short as well.

Was headed by the scrapyard with my wife on our way to dinner tonight. Had just a few things in the car, so I thought I'd show her how the operation went. Got the following:

6# of 35% insulated copper wiring @ .35 = $2.10
1# clean aluminum @ .40 = .40
1# aluminum cans @ .60 = .60
TOTAL FOR ABOVE-- $3.10

By the way, she was pretty amazed at all the stuff they had. She even said "Look at all those wheelchairs!" (There was a pretty big pile of them)
